Powerpuff reboot support

powerpuff girls 2016, seems that this series gets a lot of mixed reactions
though recently i feel like a lot of the hate it gets are just people being really nitpicky. Cause from what i've seen of the series, its actually pretty decent. But a lot of the compaints i've seen thus far are very stupid like

bawwz they didn't get the voice actresses from the original for the girls
eh, just because they gave some new VAs a chance rather than spamming the same actors over and over isn't necessarily a bad thing. Besides its good for different VAs, voice acting isn't exactly a high paying job, and giving new people a chance to shine is a good thing. that and really they aren't that bad, the new Blossom VA is rather spot on, Bubble's VA sounds better and more mature, and Buttercup's is alright too.
and really having the original voice actors does not equal the best. just look at teen titans go, they got all five of the original cast back, and the show is still horrid. And don't get me started on that recent special they made with the glass powerpuff designs...

Only slightly, Blossom is more organized and a neat freak now, and bubbles isn't a big crybaby anymore, honestly i like the new personality of bubbles, she isn't as whiney now, and when things don't go her way, rather than crying she gets even or in some cases tries to prove ya wrong or get back at ya. kinda a nice foil to her normally cute personality

besides its not like they changed everyone else that much, the mayor's still a bumbling dope, the professor is still the professor, and from what i've seen with Mojo jojo, he's still relatively the same, maybe not as blabby though, Princess morbucks still wants to be a powerpuff girl and uses tech to do evil, etc

yea cause a supporting character who never showed her face and was meant to be the brains in townsville's political office has to be in this show again. Really though, she served her purpose in the original, and by the end of the original, the loose end of what her face looked like was shown. I really don't see it as that big of a deal, she was a minor character. Really the only people who would miss her are the perverts who only liked her for being curvaceous, seriously, she didn't show her face!

the unicorn episode is transphobic
 
By far one of the stupidest reasonings I've ever heard.
So basically the episode focuses on Bubbles wanting to meet a Unicorn, but nobody believes that they exist, until she meets a talking horse that wants to be a unicorn cause he knows in his heart he is one. So the powerpuff girls decide to help him achieve his goal (aka supporting his decision in life) They take him to the professor, who tries an untested machine (and while going through the possible side effects, bubbles and the horse kinda ignore him and try and get it over with) the procedure goes wrong and the horse ends up mutating into a giant monster. Bubbles and her siblings try and calm down their new friend as he rampages through the city and destroys the pickle museum, where at the end, actual unicorns come and heal the horse, and reveal the twist that the horse was a unicorn all along, but he just never brushed his mane enough to notice, and had to go through a coming of age journey to know the truth.

I've seen this epiosde twice now, and I don't see how it is transphobic. if anything its supporting other people's decisions in what they want to do (albeit buttercup is skeptical throughout the ep). and really its about a horse wanting to become a different species (despite the twist ending showing he was one all along) and didn't want to change from a male to female or vice versa!
I swear this reasoning is just rabid sjws being idiots

its as bad as teen titans go

While the reboot isn't the best show on CN (i honestly missed a buncha episodes, i've still got to catch up on like 5 or 6 eps of this show) Comparing it to that show isn't really the best. if anything the new reboot for the powerpuff girls is a lot more faithful to the original when compared to TTG and its original. Especially considering TTG pretty much puts the crime fighting aspect to the side and makes up really immature stories and even makes episodes to intentionally insult the older audience members and slap any criticisms of the show in the face by making fun of them. Whereas from what i've seen of this new show, PPG's reboot still keeps the whole powerpuff girls saving the day and and having some small lessons within them too. does that mean every episode follows that, well not exactly i mean we did have a hangover pardoy from this new series, but that doesn't mean its a bad thing either.

they sometimes destroy more than they save now
yea well so do most super heroes in this day and age. its inevitable, there was still a lot of destruction in the original too, hell the last episode the girls fight each other and do a number on the city they're supposed to protect. no hero is perfect.

teh modernizations ermegod iz horrible

Seriously... the 90s are dead people, get over it. the show needs to appeal to this generation too, if that means upgrading the phones to modern day and making a few modern 2010 era jokes and memes, then they'll do that. and they do seem to balance it. like in the episode "escape from monster island" they almost had blossom and buttercup do a rap battle before bubbles stopped them, if they hadn't got bubs to do that then it'd be a pretty bad joke, but they didn't. And besides we're in the middle of the 2010 era, should we really be surprised about a twerking joke. just ignore it and let it go ya nostalgiatards.....

so yea, is the powerpuff girls reboot the greatest thing ever? well no its not like Steven universe great or we bare bears, its more just above Clarence good. Every show has its problems, and whether you like it or hate it, its still not a bad show nonetheless.
